As a "mom-preneur", it's always great to be recognized for your efforts. My work on Frittabello baby gifts, my baby journaling workshops, and my new blog, Parenting For Purpose, has been the most fulfilling time of my life.

Are you a purposeful parent? Is there a plan or purpose to your parenting? Or, like many busy parents, do you just try to 'get through it'. I meet many moms and dads who are doing just that. Trying to get through a particularly unpleasant stage and not finding the joy in being given the gift of molding and influencing another life - their child.

Yes, parenting can be challenging. Yes, we are all busy. But what job is more important? At the end of our lives, what other accomplishment will we be most proud of? It certainly won't be that promotion or other career-oriented success, but rather that due to our love and guidance, we have raised happy, healthy, and loving children.

I was one of those "when will he ever... fill in the blank" type of parents for many years. Today, I try to put a bit more thought into the type of parent I am. Today, I try to pay attention to my actions and words. Today, I seek out the lessons my children are here to teach me and I'd like to share some of them with you with my new blog, "Parenting For Purpose."  

Here you will find everyday examples of one mom's journey to become a more mindful, more conscious parent. Yes, there are ups and downs, but overall, there's a little lesson in each entry along with a Purposeful Parent Tip that you can try out.
